Design and estimation engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Visiting the site and conducting survey of the entire firefighting system.
• Being able to use CAD with quickly and efficiently
• Work on design, drawings, BOQ, Specification, Tendering or any other aspects related to Plumbing and Fire Protection.
• Preparation of Design calculation for sprinkler pipe sizing, sprinkler tank sizing,sprinkler distribution, fire hydrant, fire pump room, pump head calculation.
• Being able to work well with architects and contractors.
• Being familiar with all Building Codes.
• Being experienced in reviewing Residential, Commercial drawings.
• Being experienced in performing site visits for Plumbing, Electrical & Fire.
• Ability to mentor and assist Junior Engineers
• Cost estimation along with bid proposals is also part of this profile.
• Candidate must have knowledge of NBC and MSCA fire standards.
• Must possess deep knowledge about the fire hydrant systems, FAS as well as sprinkler system.
• Knowledge of Fire equipment, pump room and pump operations.
• Estimates maintenance projects and complex renovation projects.
• To maintain the good attitude with customers as well as colleagues as per corporate discipline so that we can maintain the companys good will.
• Co-ordinating with clients and follow up for meetings.
• Ability to work independently on various calculations and layouts/schematic mark-ups as per project requirements

Preferred candidate profile

Btech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
