Job Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the infrastructure, tools, and processes that support efficient and reliable software delivery. The role leads application operations teams responsible for implementing and enhancing monitoring tools, agents, and dashboards. The role works closely with product management, client engagement teams, and senior management to ensure successful project outcomes. The role leads efforts to research, analyze, and recommend improvements, upgrades, and new technologies for internal systems and processes.
Responsibilities
Manages a team /teams to implement DevOps infrastructure projects; identifies the right team resources for the right projects.
Evaluates existing development, testing, and deployment processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement; implements strategies to streamline workflows and accelerate software releases.
Oversees the establishment and maintenance of robust CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of software applications.
Evaluates, selects, and manages tools and technologies that support the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring they align with the organizations needs and future growth.
Ensures that security best practices are integrated into the DevOps processes, including vulnerability assessments, access controls, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Provides guidance to team members on all DevOps related practices and projects.
Guides growth and career progression of team members, works with stakeholders to identify operational priorities and acquires resources for the team.
Leads and oversees the planning and execution of the organizations most complex and visible projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organizations software products.
Provides regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on the status of DevOps initiatives, challenges, and achievements.
Fosters strong collaboration between development, operations, security, and other teams to drive alignment, shared goals, and efficient communication.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in software development, information technology, engineering environment, or a related field.
