Objective:
The primary objective of hiring the Portfolio Manager is to generate alpha by strategically trading options on Indian stock exchanges. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving superior risk-adjusted returns through well-executed options strategies.
Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Design and implement trading strategies, with a focus on options and derivatives.
- Analyze investment merits and risks associated with nontraditional investments, including options.
- Play a key role in approving strategy recommendations.
- Educate internal stakeholders and clients on options trading and strategies.
- Provide best-in-class support for options trading, including large orders and complex trades.
Order Management and Surveillance:
- Enter and review equity/index option orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with option report reviews and surveillance.
Portfolio Reviews and Customized Recommendations:
- Perform portfolio reviews and consulting to identify options strategy opportunities.
- Customize recommendations based on client objectives, risk tolerance, tax considerations, and market forecasts.
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate proficiency in options terminology, pricing models, and financial analysis.
- Utilize technical analysis to inform investment decisions.
- Understand routing strategies, market structure, and complex investment products.
Software Proficiency:
- Strong skills in MS Office applications (especially Excel and Access).
- Practical understanding of SQL, Tableau, and Python is a plus.
Prior Trading Experience:
- Previous trading experience is must with a strong track record.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in finance, Economics, or a related field.
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian financial markets, regulations, and tax implications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
