The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the sales and growth of secured business loans within the assigned region.
This individual will lead and guide Cluster and Area Managers in developing and executing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
The role requires a focus on market expansion, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Management:
- Oversee the management and growth of secured business loan portfolios within the designated region/state.
- Ensure overall revenue targets are met on a monthly basis, covering all revenue streams such as processing fees, cross-selling, and yield.
- Drive branch profitability, ensuring that fee income exceeds branch costs as measured on branch scorecards.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Guide and support Cluster and Area Managers in formulating and executing their sales plans and strategies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with team members to assess and refine strategies for achieving sales targets.
Market Expansion & Strategy:
- Lead the expansion of the branch network in the region, including identifying potential markets for growth.
- Develop new strategies to uncover untapped markets, generate additional revenue streams, and introduce new products in collaboration with Business Heads.
Sales & Distribution Strategy:
- Formulate and implement sales, distribution, and disbursement strategies to drive loan applications and conversions.
- Work with business heads and other stakeholders to launch new products, ensuring they align with market demands.
Client and Case Management:
- Review all sales cases in the region, conducting personal discussions to understand customer profiles and ensure the right sourcing of business.
- Ensure that client relationships are nurtured and maintained for long-term profitability and customer retention.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, provide regular reports on revenue targets, profitability, and branch performance.
- Proactively identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on secured business loans, financial products, or banking services.
- Experience in leading teams and driving sales performance across multiple regions.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of secured business loans and financial products.
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding revenue and profitability targets.
- Leadership abilities to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
