Role Overview: The Zonal Head - Agency Channel is responsible for overseeing and driving the agency channel sales strategy, growth, and profitability in the assigned region. This role involves leading and managing a team of agency managers and agents, ensuring the achievement of business objectives, sales targets, and market share expansion in line with the company's overall goals.
The Zonal Head will develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, drive the recruitment and training of agents, monitor performance, and implement strategies for improving sales performance, customer acquisition, and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Sales Management:
- Develop and execute the regional sales strategy for the agency channel in line with the company's objectives and market trends.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of,DivisonalManager,regionalheads agency managers and agents to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the region and ensure their timely achievement.
- Analyze market dynamics and competition to adjust sales strategies accordingly and ensure a competitive edge.
Team Development & Performance Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing agency sales team, ensuring proper recruitment, onboarding, and training of agents.
- Implement training programs to enhance agents' product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing guidance and support to overcome challenges and achieve targets.
- Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Channel Development & Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with key agency stakeholders, including agents, managers, and business partners.
- Ensure the agency network is growing and expanding through recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Drive new business acquisition and ensure the development of a robust agency network for continued growth.
- Regularly visit agents, agencies, and key partners to maintain relationships and ensure business alignment.
Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Oversee the operational aspects of the agency channel, ensuring that agents adhere to compliance and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and analyze sales data and provide timely reports to senior management regarding sales performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, underwriting, and customer service to ensure the smooth operation of the agency channel.
Customer Experience & Retention:
- Focus on customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring that the agency network delivers superior service and meets customer expectations.
- Drive initiatives for improving the customer experience and ensuring the agency channel remains competitive in terms of product offerings and service.
Market Analysis & Innovation:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to ensure the agency channel remains adaptable and competitive.
- Innovate and introduce new sales strategies and tools to improve productivity, enhance customer engagement, and increase market penetration.
