Chief Financial Officer

Job Description:

1. Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute the organizations financial strategy to support business growth and profitability.
• Collaborate with the executive team to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
• Provide insights and recommendations for financial planning, investment opportunities, and risk management.

2. Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Monitor financial performance and present regular reports to the executive team and board of directors.
• Analyze market trends and economic data to guide decision-making.

3. Operational Finance Management:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, payroll, and tax functions.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Analysis of Payable & receivable to optimize cash flow, liquidity, and capital allocation.
• Lead the implementation, optimization, and integration of financial management systems (ERP systems) to streamline financial operations, reporting, and compliance.

4. Risk Management and Compliance:

• Identify and manage financial risks to protect the company’s assets.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, corporate policies and sector regulations.
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive internal control framework to safeguard assets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and mitigate financial risks.
• Oversee the implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of financial controls to ensure effectiveness, identify weaknesses, and recommend corrective actions.

5. Leadership and Team Development:

• Lead and mentor the finance team to build a high-performing department.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
• Support talent development and succession planning within the finance function.

6. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as a key point of contact for Shareholders, investors, lenders, and other financial stakeholders.
• Communicate financial performance and strategy to the board of directors and shareholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficiency in requisite financial software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
