Location: New Delhi, India


The Operations and Procurement Executive is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational activities and procurement processes within the organization. This role involves coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services, while optimizing operations and enhancing supply chain efficiency.


Key responsibilities

  • Operations Management:
  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure smooth execution
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational activities
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve discrepancies related to procurement, inventory, and supply chain management
  • Procurement Management:
  • Source and purchase materials, goods, and services as required by the organization
  • Evaluate and manage supplier relationships, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules
  • Ensure timely delivery of products and services, maintaining inventory levels and minimizing disruptions
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and cost-effective alternatives
  • Review purchase orders, vendor contracts, and agreements for compliance with company standards
  • Maintain procurement records and databases, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information
  • Vendor and Supplier Coordination:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with agreements
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions for the company
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Optimization:
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering processes when necessary
  • Analyze procurement data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Track shipments, deliveries, and inventory to ensure timely availability of goods
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations, including sustainability and ethical sourcing practices
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement and operational activities, highlighting key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on improving procurement strategies and operational processes

Desirable skills and experience

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain management
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships and procurement processes
  • Experience in imports/exports through multiple channels
  • Experience with transportation and logistics companies locally and internationally, and experience

with all paperwork needed

  • Experience with managing logistics of shipping hardware products
  • Experience of working on the shop floor/Operations role of another manufacturing company
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, resolve issues, and implement improvements
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and experience with procurement software/systems
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet
