Business Intelligence Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Identify management needs and requirements and generate decision-making reports using BI tools and spreadsheets.
• Communicate insights to management and across the organisation
• Collect sales, traffic, marketing, and customer data and visualise them with analysis
• Develop dashboards, create reports, and support users with them
• Research market trends, identify customer behaviour and forecast sales performance
• Develop relationships with other business teams (marketing, product, account) to make informed decisions and monitor the marketing activities
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented business strategies
• Undertake any additional tasks as reasonably required to support the Business Intelligence department and the wider business
• Produce enhanced KPI reports on a daily, weekly, monthly basis
• Conduct regular business review meetings to analyse and determine BI requirements and develop solutions that add value

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
• Strong experience with SQL, data modelling, and database management.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R (preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights effectively
