Loading & Unloading / Dispatch Supervisor

Role & responsibilities

Supervision of Loading and Unloading

• Coordinate and oversee the timely loading and unloading of raw materials, additives, and finished cattle feed products.
• Ensure safe handling of materials to prevent damage or contamination.
• Allocate and manage workforce to optimize efficiency during loading and unloading activities.

Dispatch Management

• Plan and schedule dispatches to ensure timely delivery to customers and distribution centers.
• Maintain accurate dispatch documentation, including invoices, delivery challans, and gate passes.
• Monitor vehicle loading to comply with weight limits and ensure secure transportation of goods.

Inventory Coordination

• Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure accurate stock records and maintain proper inventory levels.
• Verify material receipts and shipments against purchase orders and dispatch schedules.

Compliance and Safety

• Enforce adherence to safety protocols during loading/unloading and material handling processes.
• Conduct routine inspections of loading equipment, forklifts, and vehicles to ensure operational safety and efficiency.

Team Management

• Supervise and train a team of workers on best practices in loading/unloading and dispatch operations.
• Resolve any disputes or issues arising during operations promptly.

Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain records of daily operations, including dispatch logs, worker performance, and material movement.
• Provide periodic reports to management on dispatch efficiency and operational bottlenecks.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in inventory management and logistics software.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in material handling.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
