Mobile Automation Testing

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Mobile Automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile application testing across iOS and Android platforms using automation frameworks. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure our mobile applications meet high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Work with the QA team to define, implement, and execute automation strategies for mobile testing.
• Write reusable, efficient, and maintainable test code using frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or similar.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to identify test requirements and review user stories.
• Perform end-to-end testing of mobile applications, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Identify, log, and track bugs and issues through the software development lifecycle.
• Work on both UI and API automation testing for mobile apps.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and processes.
• Execute tests in a variety of mobile environments and simulate real-world conditions.
• Report test results and provide feedback to development teams on app quality and stability.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile testing tools, trends, and best practices.
• Ensure test coverage and adherence to industry best practices for mobile testing.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in mobile automation testing (iOS/Android).
• Strong experience with mobile test automation tools and frameworks like Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, or Selenium.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, etc.
• Understanding of mobile development frameworks (e.g., Swift, Kotlin).
• Familiarity with mobile device management tools and emulators/simulators.
• Solid experience in writing and executing both UI and API automation scripts.
• Strong understanding of mobile testing strategies (functional, regression, performance, load, etc.).
• Experience working with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Fastlane or Xcode command line tools.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, or Apache Benchmark.
• Knowledge of testing on real devices and mobile cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Agile/Scrum experience and knowledge of test-driven development (TDD).
