Consultant Pathologist - Hematology

Job Descritption

• Perform hematological evaluations, including blood smear examinations, bone marrow aspirations, and coagulation studies.
• Interpret and report CBC, peripheral blood smears, bone marrow biopsies, and coagulation profiles.
• Collaborate with clinicians to provide accurate and timely diagnostic reports for hematological disorders.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with laboratory standards and protocols.
• Participate in case discussions, tumor boards, and research activities related to hematology.
• Guide and supervise lab technologists to ensure accuracy and efficiency in test processing.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new diagnostic techniques in hematology.

Requirements:

• MD in Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hematopathology.
• Strong expertise in blood and bone marrow pathology, flow cytometry, and coagulation disorders.
• Experience in laboratory accreditation processes (NABL, CAP, etc.) is preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
