B.Sc. Chemistry Freshers as Chemists (Operators) on Contract

Job Summary:

The Chemist - Chemical Operations and Waste Treatment will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of chemical reactors, filters, distillation columns, and waste treatment machines including Multiple Effect Evaporators (MEE) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP). The role demands a combination of technical expertise, safety consciousness, and environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in chemical processes, hands-on experience with industrial chemical equipment, and a commitment to sustainable environmental practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:
   
• Operate and monitor chemical reactors, distillation columns, filters, and other related machinery to ensure efficient and safe chemical processes.
• Manage the operations of the Multiple Effect Evaporators (MEE) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) for effective waste treatment and compliance with environmental regulations.
2. Process Optimization:
   
• Analyze process conditions and data to identify opportunities for optimization, increased efficiency, and reduced environmental impact.
• Implement process improvements and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
3. Safety and Compliance:
   
• Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines, environmental regulations, and company policies related to chemical manufacturing and waste treatment.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
4. Quality Control:
   
• Oversee quality control measures to ensure the production meets the required standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
5. Maintenance Coordination:
   
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs of chemical equipment and waste treatment facilities.
• Ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition and complies with regulatory and company standards.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
   
• Maintain accurate records of chemical operations, waste treatment processes, environmental compliance, and safety audits.
• Prepare and present reports on process performance, improvements, and compliance to management and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in operating chemical reactors, distillation columns, and waste treatment facilities.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Work Environment:
