Compliance Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead our regulatory compliance efforts and ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations. This role involves developing and implementing compliance policies, mitigating risks, overseeing fraud prevention, and collaborating with regulatory authorities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial regulations, AML/KYC processes, and data protection laws to maintain ethical and secure business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, GDPR, RBI, SEBI, and other financial regulations, monitoring legal updates and implementing necessary changes.
• Policy Development & Training: Design and enforce compliance policies, conduct staff training on fraud detection, AML/KYC, and regularly review internal processes to identify risks.
• Risk Management & Fraud Prevention: Identify compliance risks, work closely with product and legal teams to integrate compliance measures, and oversee fraud monitoring systems.
• Audits & Reporting: Conduct compliance audits, prepare reports on regulatory adherence and risk mitigation, and manage investigations related to compliance breaches.
• Customer Protection & Data Privacy: Oversee customer onboarding and verification processes, ensuring data privacy compliance and proactively resolving customer complaints related to compliance.
• Corporate Governance & Ethics: Promote ethical business practices, ensure transparency in compliance matters, and provide guidance on regulatory decisions.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Liaise with regulatory authorities, legal and risk teams, and internal departments to ensure compliance is integrated into business operations and new product development.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's / Masters degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or financial services, preferably in fintech.
• Strong knowledge of AML/KYC regulations, data privacy laws, and financial industry standards.
• Experience in liaising with regulatory bodies such as RBI, SEBI, or FIU.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage compliance reporting, audits, and investigations efficiently.
