Job Description

Job Overview:
The Digital PR Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing digital public relations strategies that enhance the online presence and reputation of the organization. This role involves managing online media relations, creating digital content, and engaging with influencers, bloggers, and online communities to promote the brand. The Digital PR Specialist will work closely with the marketing, social media, and content teams to ensure a consistent and effective digital presence across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital PR Strategy Development
Develop and execute digital PR strategies that align with the companys overall marketing and business goals.
Create and manage digital campaigns to build brand awareness, improve reputation, and drive engagement with target audiences.
Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitors, and digital PR opportunities to ensure the organization stays ahead of the curve in the digital space.
2. Content Creation & Management
Write and distribute press releases, blog posts, and other digital content to promote company initiatives, events, and news.
Collaborate with the content team to create compelling digital assets, including articles, videos, and social media posts, that resonate with online audiences.
Maintain the companys online presence by developing and managing content for websites, blogs, and other digital platforms.
3. Media Outreach & Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong relationships with digital media outlets, bloggers, influencers, and online journalists.
Pitch story ideas to relevant digital publications, securing media coverage across various online platforms.
Respond to media inquiries and handle any PR-related issues that arise in the digital space.
Coordinate interviews, guest articles, and digital press conferences to maximize online exposure.
4. Social Media Engagement
Work closely with the social media team to integrate digital PR efforts with social media campaigns.
Monitor social media channels to engage with audiences, respond to comments, and manage the organizations online reputation.
Leverage social media influencers and bloggers to amplify brand messaging and campaigns.
5. Reputation Management
Monitor and manage the companys digital reputation, addressing any negative press or online criticism in a timely and professional manner.
Implement online reputation management strategies to strengthen the companys digital image.
Respond to online reviews, comments, and feedback, ensuring a consistent and positive brand presence.
6. Campaign Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track the performance of digital PR campaigns, including website traffic, social media engagement, media mentions, and sentiment analysis.
Use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics) to report on the effectiveness of campaigns and provide actionable insights for future strategies.
Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior management, highlighting the impact of digital PR efforts.
7. Collaboration & Coordination
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product teams, to ensure that PR campaigns are integrated across digital platforms.
Work with the SEO team to optimize digital PR content for search engines and ensure maximum visibility.
Coordinate with the internal communications team to ensure consistent messaging across all digital channels.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in digital PR, online media relations, or digital marketing.
Experience with media outreach, content creation, and influencer relations in the digital space.
Knowledge of SEO, social media platforms, and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to create engaging content.
Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram) and digital PR tools (e.g., Cision, HARO).
Familiarity with digital PR analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, BuzzSumo, Meltwater).
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Creative thinking and a strong understanding of what resonates with digital audiences.
Personal Attributes:
Highly detail-oriented with strong time-management skills.
Adaptable to changing trends in digital media and PR.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with media contacts and influencers.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
