JOB DESCRIPTION
The NYC Lease Compliance is responsible for coordinating strict lease compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by local agencies.
1. This position ensures that all leasing related documentation is accurate, thereby protecting the company from legal actions.
2. Reviews tenant leases and documents for accuracy and completeness.
3. Reviews, monitors, and ensures leasing compliance with all NYC Rental Guidelines, including but not limited to Rent Stabilization, 421a and Affordable regulations.
4. Works closely with the Community Manager and Assistant Community Manager in the preparation and execution of lease documents.
5. Conducts property lease audits and communicates those findings and resolutions to the appropriate individual(s).
6. Adapts, promotes, and enforces all new or improved leasing processes, policies, and practice.
7. Provides customer service and promotes customer satisfaction by responding to team member questions, concerns, issues, and requests, researching, and resolving problems or errors, and following up to communicate resolutions.
8. Provides feedback and input for continuous improvement of tools, process, and systems related to leasing.
9. Monitors and participates in overall direction, strategy, and performance standards for NYC stabilized leasing and property teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Expert user of software systems Yardi, On-Site, MS Excel
2. Understanding of NYC rent regulations, NYC rent stabilization, 421a, NYC affordable housing process:
• The compensation range reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for employment at the time of posting. Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
• Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for an annual performance bonus that is based on individual and company performance.
• Onsite Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for a discretionary monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
