QS Engineer

Role & responsibilities:

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tender documents, and estimates based on drawings.
• Monitor project progress, track costs, and prepare monthly bill status reports.
• Timely preparation and processing of sub agency bills (Subcontractors & Labour bills)
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors for billing purposes.
• Maintain accurate records of all billing-related activities.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for project proposals, including labor, materials, and contingencies.
• Study of drawings/ technical specifications and BOQ.
• Understand quantity take-off requirements based on marking and GFC drawings.
• Identify discrepancies between BOQs, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions, and work towards resolution.
• Monitor and control project costs, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage the valuation of completed work done and handle claims and variations.
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects.

Preferred candidate profile:

• 5 or more years of experience in quantity surveying or related fields (bill checking, billing engineering).
• Relevant Experience in High-rise construction projects.
