Senior Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Documentation & Customer Accounts:

• Prepare accurate and timely quotations, sales orders, proforma invoices, and customer invoices.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date ledgers for customers, projects, and land transactions, ensuring real-time accessibility and accuracy.
• Evaluate project finance, capital budgeting, and investment strategies specific to projects.

2. Budgeting and Cost Management: Develop detailed budgets at the project level, encompassing all relevant costs such as:

• Machinery and equipment costs.
• Installation and commissioning expenses.
• Documentation and regulatory costs.
• Land acquisition and preparation expenses.
• Management and administrative costs.
• Any other direct or indirect costs involved in project completion.
• Ensure accurate financial projections and maintain control over project expenses, revenues, and profit margins.
• Analyse variances and recommend corrective measures.

3. Regulatory Compliance and Tax Filings:

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual filings, including GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all government provisions and deadlines to avoid penalties.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and audits.

4. Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Conduct thorough financial analysis of company expenses, operational costs, and project expenditures.
• Prepare actionable insights through forecasting and cost-benefit analyses to aid management in decision-making.
• Establish a system for regular financial reviews and reporting to proactively address discrepancies.

5. Financing and Fund Management:

• Compile necessary documentation to secure external financing, such as loans or credit facilities.
• Monitor cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity and ensure the smooth operation of company activities.

6. Auditing and Internal Controls:

• Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of expenses across departments, projects, and operations.
• Establish and enforce strong internal controls to minimize risks, improve financial accuracy, and ensure transparency.

7. Risk Management:

• Identify potential financial risks and implement measures to mitigate them effectively.
• Ensure appropriate insurance coverage for company assets and liabilities.
• Monitor the performance of financial and operational systems, recommending improvements.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and legal departments to align financial practices with organizational goals.
• Provide financial analysis for evaluating contracts, agreements, and procurement plans.

9. Policy Development and Implementation:

• Design and implement financial policies and procedures to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Develop frameworks for continuous improvement in financial operations and compliance.

10. Proactive Financial Leadership:

• Ensure timely preparation of project cost analyses, financial reports, and expenditure reviews without requiring management prompts.
• Train and empower the finance team to independently analyse financial data and provide insights, reducing reliance on management intervention.
• Create dashboards and tools for real-time tracking of financial metrics, project costs, and expense trends.
• Evaluate return on investment (ROI) and project profitability.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: * Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Experience:
• Minimum 7-10 years in financial management, preferably within the renewable energy or EPC industry.
• Skills:
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GST, TDS, and other taxation laws.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities to work across teams and guide financial operations.
