Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

- Perform installations, upgrades, and configuration of PostgreSQL clusters.

- Implement effective backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and minimize downtime.

- Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks to optimize query execution.

- Troubleshoot database issues and resolve complex technical problems.

- Collaborate effectively with developers and other IT professionals.

- Automate routine database administration tasks using scripting languages (optional).

- Maintain a strong understanding of PostgreSQL best practices and security guidelines.

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience administering PostgreSQL databases.

- In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, configuration options, and query optimization techniques.

- Experience with high availability (HA) solutions for PostgreSQL is a plus.

- Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies for PostgreSQL.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with Linux system administration is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in database administration tools like pgAdmin and SQL clients (e., pgAdmin, SQL Workbench/Developer).

- Familiarity with other relational databases like Oracle or MS SQL Server is a plus
