We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to lead our Purchase Experience Engineering team. You will be responsible for managing portions of our customer-facing platform, ensuring its flawless functionality, and driving its strategic application across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical insight in software development, exceptional leadership skills, and a strategic approach to optimize our services to meet ambitious business objectives.

What youll get to do...

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, encouraging a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
Offer mentorship for career development and performance management
Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and team-building activities
Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they meet business objectives, timelines, and quality standards
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other collaborators to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
Manage project budgets and resources effectively
Offer mentorship and support to the development team, assisting in the resolution of intricate technical challenges and making strategic architectural choices.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and standard methodologies to foster innovation within the team.
Implement and refine software development processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and product quality.
Promote Agile/Scrum practices and ensure adherence to software development life cycle (SDLC) standards
Act as a liaison between engineering teams and other departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations
Present progress reports, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management and other collaborators
Identify potential risks and issues related to software development and implement mitigation strategies
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Contribute to the development of long-term technology strategies and roadmaps
Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices that can improve team performance and product capabilities

Your experiences should include...

7+ years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role
Proven experience in managing large-scale software projects and leading cross-functional teams
Solid grasp of software engineering principles, methodologies, and standard processes
Expertise in one or more programming languages and technologies relevant to the companys tech stack (e.g. NodeJs, React, Javascript, Express, Webpack)
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in fast paced situations
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical collaborators.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence)
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritise

You might also have...

Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, containerisation)
Experience in a dynamic and rapidly evolving technology environment with a focus on constant learning and growth
