SAP BW Consultant - BODS Module (3-12 yrs)

Job Description :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and SAP BODS (Business Objects Data Services).

- Extensive experience in designing and implementing ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing solutions in SAP BW.

- Proven experience with SAP BODS for data integration, transformation, and data quality management.

- Hands-on experience with SAP BW on HANA.

- Expertise in SAP BW modeling, including Info Cubes, DSOs, Composite Providers, Advanced Datastore Objects (ADSOs), and MultiProviders.

- Proficiency in SAP BODS Designer, Data Integrator, and BODS Data Services for ETL development and data transformation.

- Knowledge of BEx Queries, SAP BW Queries, Web Intelligence (WebI), and SAP BusinessObjects for reporting and analytics.

- Experience with SAP HANA and integration with BW on HANA for high-performance analytics.

Additional Skills :

- Familiarity with SAP Data Services tools for data quality management and data integration from various sources (SAP and non-SAP).

- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and integration with cloud-based data sources is a plus.

- Understanding of SQL, ABAP (for custom extraction), and other programming languages for custom data extraction is a plus.

Certifications :

- SAP certification in SAP BW or SAP BODS is a plus but not mandatory.

- Certifications in SAP HANA or SAP BW/4HANA will be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using SAP BODS for data extraction, transformation, and loading into SAP BW.

- Develop and maintain data models, including Info Cubes, DSOs, Composite Providers, ADSOs, and MultiProviders in SAP BW.

- Optimize data loads and improve data quality within the SAP BW environment.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Work closely with business users to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Hands-on experience with SAP BW on HANA and its key features.

- Optimize data models and ETL processes for performance on HANA.

- Leverage HANA's in-memory capabilities for real-time analytics and reporting.

- Experience with integrating data from various sources (SAP and non-SAP) into SAP BW using BODS.

- Knowledge of data quality management techniques and tools within the SAP ecosystem.

- Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and deduplication.

- Work with BEx Queries, SAP BW Queries, and Web Intelligence (WebI) for reporting and analysis. Support the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards.

- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and implementation.

- Adhere to project timelines and budgets.

- Effectively communicate project status and issues to project stakeholders.

- Strong expertise in SAP BW modeling and data flow concepts.

- In-depth knowledge of SAP BODS Designer, Data Integrator, and Data Services.

- Proficiency in SQL and ABAP (for custom extraction) is a plus.

- Familiarity with SAP HANA and its SQL dialect.

- Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and cloud-based data sources is a plus.
