Gloify - Senior Java Developer - Microservices Architecture (5-7 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Java Developer with 5+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Java technologies, frameworks, and tools, along with the ability to lead and mentor junior developers while contributing to innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications and microservices.

- Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code adhering to industry standards.

- Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design system architectures and ensure scalability and reliability.

- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

- Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

- Optimize database queries and design schemas to ensure performance and reliability.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration with external and internal systems.

- Ensure secure and efficient data exchange through APIs.

- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality deliverables.

- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.

- Monitor and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring optimal performance.

- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure robust and reliable applications.

- Collaborate with the QA team to identify and fix bugs

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and DevOps engineers.

- Document technical designs, processes, and procedures for future reference.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong expertise in Java (JDK 8 or higher) with a deep understanding of OOP principles.

- Should have 5+ years of experience in similar role

- Hands-on experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.

- Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architectures.

- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM tools.

- Proficiency with version control systems like Git.

- Experience with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.

- Understanding of application security practices and frameworks.

- Strong knowledge of multi-threading and concurrency in Java.
