Linux System & Network Administrator (5-10 yrs)

Position : Linux System and Network Administrator

Total experience : 5+ yrs

Desired Skills and Experience :

- 5+ years of experience in Linux System and Network and Security Administrator .

- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)

- Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting

- Familiarity with security best practices and tools

- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python)

- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox)

- Understanding of cloud computing concepts

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Managing and maintaining Semiconductors EDA CAD tools.

- Certifications in Linux administration, networking, or cloud computing

- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)

Responsibilities :

System Administration :

- User management : Adding, deleting, and managing user accounts

- Home directory management : Creating and maintaining home directories on NFS

- VPN access : Configuring VPN login IDs and passwords on Hardware Firewall

- Remote access : Enabling VNC access from Windows and Linux clients

- Backup and recovery : Implementing regular backups of user home directories

- System performance monitoring : Tracking system usage, bandwidth, and resource utilization

- Security configuration : Setting up IP tables, server firewalls, and security frameworks like AppArmor or SELinux

- Software installation and removal : Managing software packages and updates

Network Administration :

- Cloud Infrastructure management : Configuring and managing Cloud resources

- Remote access services : Configuring and managing remote user access

- Network routing : Configuring routes to external agents like on-premto cloud

- License server management : Managing licenses for software like Semiconductor EDA tools

Security Administration :

- Intrusion detection : Monitoring for security threats and vulnerabilities

- Security incident response : Investigating and responding to security breaches

- Log and journal analysis : Reviewing system logs and journals for security events
