Senior Quality Engineer - Automation Testing (7-12 yrs)

Principal duties and responsibilities :

- Design procedures and processes for maintenance of test plans, test cases, scenarios, scripts, and procedures. Able to relate a functionality to test cases.

- Proficiency in conducting manual and automated testing of items or stories in a sprint.

- Create and maintain automation framework and automated test suites. Responsible for defining the strategy for baselining the test automation coverage

- Plan & execute test schedules in accordance with project scope and delivery dates.

- Collaborate with product and development teams to provide a high level of functionality, usability, and testability of the product during grooming.

- Constantly evaluate and refine QA processes/methodologies and communicates them with all teams involved.

- Innovates and experiments with technology that is aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing test execution times.

- Ability to co-relate and understand the business workflows and functionality of different workstreams and understands cross-functional initiatives - communicates with technical & non-technical parties cross-functionally.

- Troubleshooting quality & support issues and modifying test procedures.

- Ensuring the successful deployment of products into the market by defining and implementing end-to-end product test strategies.

Required Qualifications :

- A degree in Computer Science is preferred, or related degree (Math, Engineering, Computers) required, or a combination of education and related experience.

- 7-12 years' professional QA experience.

- Experience in UI and API automation using Selenium with Java or other tools. Ability to understand an automation framework quickly and use it.

- Experience with Postman, Swagger or SoapUI.

- Experience or good understanding of performance/load testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, etc.

- Experience in code & requirement coverage measurement.

- Experience or familiar with ATDD, TDD & BDD.

- Experience with Test Management tools (like JIRA or ADO etc.).

- Experience with maintaining test scenarios/cases and results using tools.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Strong experience working in an Agile scrum team environment and can estimate QA efforts.

- Experience in UI and API automation using Selenium with Java or other tools.

- Experience creating and maintaining test automation frameworks.

Preferred qualifications :

- Knowledge or experience of any other automation tools using languages like Python, C# or JavaScript will be an added advantage.

- Ability to demonstrate initiative, not only to accomplish assigned development tasks with a minimum of prepared documentation, but also to identify areas for improvement, and ability to combine these improvements into the product.

- Strong experience in Java, Git, Bitbucket and OOPS concept.

- Strong SQL query knowledge.

- Experience or understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing in continuous deployment workflows
