Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to emergency department encounters.
• Ensure accurate and timely coding for all emergency department services, procedures, and diagnoses.
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
• Resolve coding discrepancies or issues by reviewing medical records and collaborating with clinical staff.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of claims to insurance providers and government payers.
• Stay current with emergency department-specific coding guidelines and industry best practices.
