Global Finance has settled over $14 billion in mortgage and personal risk insurance and currently writing over $1 billion in loans every year. Global Finance has won over 50+ industry awards making it one of the leading advisory practices in New Zealand.

The company is the largest dealer group (DSA) serving the Indian diaspora settled in New Zealand both in terms of lending volume and head count.

The company is now looking to recruit highly talented, motivated and experienced lending assessors who are currently working in Relationship Manager role either in a mainstream bank or DSA (dealer group) to apply their skills, knowledge and vigour to help Global Finance serve its customers.

Experience

  • 3 or more experience in Housing Loan area within a Bank or NBFC/ or DSA ideally as a Relationship Manager or Relationship Associate role
  • Current experience with lending / mortgage rules including credit knowledge will be preferred.
  • Experience in front line role in direct dealing with customers or sourcing new customers while providing service to existing customers
  • Experience in increasing lending account portfolio of the organisation by sourcing new business from existing and new customers
  • A friendly personality and desire to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with customers and peers.
  • Multitasking and attention to detail

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce or Finance, MBA (Finance), CA
  • Strong Numerical skills are essential.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in English is must.
  • Experience in working with customers over phone and face to face environment to advise on lending is essential
  • Strong entry of double entry book-keeping concepts and Basic Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss concepts
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Those who have their passport ready and can relocate quickly will be preferred.
  • Prior lending experience with an Australian or NZ based bank(s) will be advantageous

Key Accountabilities

The role includes but is not limited to the following key accountabilities:

  • Learn the lending criteria of different New Zealand lenders and apply them to customer lending needs
  • Ensure all home loan applications meet internal and external compliance requirements.
  • Liaise with the customers to ensure all the required documents are complete and accurate.
  • Conduct robust financial analysis of potential clients lending needs introduced to you.
  • Assist Branch Manager & Mortgage Advisers in the preparation & submission of the loan applications to the lenders; Credit appraisal, Note preparation as per credit policy and as per New Zealand Banking guidelines.
  • Assisting mortgage advisors in answering any queries from the lenders for a successful mortgage approval
  • Regularly communicate and update customers about their lending application status.
  • Ensure all interactions related to the customers lending needs are recorded & documented in company’s internal systems for compliance and regulatory purposes.
  • Contact existing customers in a timely manner to remind them about their home loan renewal or maturity.
  • Persuade the customers either to refix their existing loans or to refinance their loans through GFS to maximise customer retention and loyalty.
  • Liaise with the customers to understand their present and future home loans needs or any challenges with the repayment of the mortgages.
  • Negotiate with their existing bank the best interest rates that can be offered.
  • Advise the customers on offers available in other banks and check their eligibility providing comparison of existing bank and new bank(s) offers.
  • Liaise with internal Mortgage Advisers to ensure the customers receive sound advice on their mortgages.
  • Establish constructive relationships with team members within the organization & customers.
  • Refer client insurance requirements to the assigned risk insurance specialist. Knowledge of Indian Personal risk insurance or providing solution to customer as per their needs will be an added advantage.

You will receive a fixed salary package with ample opportunities for growth. The role also holds the possibility to move up within the organisation with the right experience, accreditations and knowledge.


This role involves 45 hours per week with Monday to Friday 40 hours per week (between 9 am to 6pm) and Saturday 5 hours per week (12 noon to 5pm) with one Saturday off every month.


Working Relationships: Internal staff, Senior Leadership Team, Stakeholders

Salary on offer: INR 35 lakhs (Fixed) per year NZD equivalent.

Candidates are expected to bear their own relocation expenses and make their own arrangements for stay in New Zealand. Global Finance can provide them some support in the first month of arrival to minimise the initial inconvenience.


Company will sponsor the work visa of the person to enable him to relocate himself and flight ticket for self from India to NZ on reimbursement basis after joining the company.


Employees are entitled to 20 Working-days, 10 Sick leave and other statutory/public holidays every year
