Farm Supervisor / Agronomist

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations to ensure optimal crop health and yield.
• Analyze soil and plant health, recommending treatments for improved growth.
• Supervise and train farm laborers on best practices and safety protocols.
• Track crop data and weather conditions to optimize farm performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and promote sustainable farming practices.

Required skills:

• Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, crop management, and farm management
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in record-keeping and basic computer skills
• Effective communication skills in Hindi and English

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field preferred
• Diploma holders with significant experience considered
• 1 years of experience in farm management or agronomist/horticulturist role preferred
• Experience in managing fertigation systems and pest control preferred
• Familiarity with terms and practices used in disease control such as integrated pest management (IPM), crop rotation, biological control, and chemical treatments
