Production Manager (Bauxite Mine)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the production activities at our Bauxite Mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the mining operations to achieve optimal production levels, while ensuring safety, quality, and environmental standards and statutory requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans to achieve mine production targets.

2. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day mining operations, including drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling.

3. Safety Management: Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and implement measures to prevent accidents and injuries.

4. Quality Control: Monitor and control the quality of bauxite produced, ensuring it meets customer requirements.

5. Environmental Management: Implement environmental management plans to minimize the mine's impact on the environment.

6. Cost Control: Monitor and control production costs, ensuring they are within budget.

7. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of mining professionals, including supervisors, engineers, and operators & drivers

8. Bills: Preparation and submission of client & sub -contractor bills, Pursuance with client in receipt of RA bills payment in time.

9. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.

2. Experience: At least 10-15 years of experience in mining operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a management role. at least one project experience of mineral handling.

3. Skills:

a. Strong knowledge of mining operations, safety, and environmental regulations.

b. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

c. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

d. Proficient in mining software, such as mine planning and simulation tools.

4. Certifications: Valid certifications in mining, such as a Mine Manager's Certificate or equivalent.
