Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  1. Trade Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement trade marketing strategies to drive sales, market share, and brand awareness.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand retailer needs and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.

2. Retailer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and distributors.
  • Understand retailer priorities and work with them to develop customized marketing programs that meet their needs and objectives.

3. Promotions and Campaigns:

  • Plan and execute trade promotions, including in-store displays, product demonstrations, and discounts.

4. Market and Competitor Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities.
  • Provide insights on market conditions and competitive advantages to inform product positioning and pricing strategies.

5. In-store Execution:

  • Oversee the implementation of in-store marketing materials, including point-of-sale (POS) displays, signage, and other promotional materials.
  • Ensure the execution is in line with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.

6. Budget Management:

  • Track the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives and adjust strategies to improve ROI.

7. Reporting and Analysis:

  • Measure and report on the success of trade marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide actionable insights based on sales data, customer feedback, and market research.

8. Product Launches:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to support the launch of new products in the trade channel.
  • Ensure that all retail touchpoints are ready to promote the new products effectively.

Preferred candidate profile

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with sales teams and retailers.
    • Strategic thinking with a focus on driving sales and market share.
    • Analytical skills to assess market trends and campaign performance.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other marketing tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
