Design Engineer-Mechanical

Role & responsibilities

• Design and development of mechanical equipment and machinery e.g. scrubbers, chillers, heat exchangers, piping etc. for the Bio-Gas/Process/WTP/similar Industry.
• ⁠Sizing and selection of offered equipments, suitable for processes and plant.
• Test and evaluate prototypes to ensure performance and safety.
• Utilize FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to simulate stress and strain.
• Preparation of detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new designs.
• Collaborate with other engineers and manufacturing personnel to optimize designs.
• Analyse and solve design-related issues during the manufacturing process.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and design records.
• Ensure that designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Implement design modifications based on testing results and feedback.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source suitable materials and components.
• Stay current with advancements in mechanical design and engineering technology.
• ⁠Review and approval of vendors drawings and technical documentation.

Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in machine design or a related field.
• ⁠Masters in Machine Design will be preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE)⁠
• 5-10 Years of professional experience in machine design/ related industry.
• Proven experience in machine design and development.⁠
• Experience with advanced CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials science.
• Experience with FEA and other simulation tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards (Gas Industry Specifically in Bio-Gas) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Innovative mindset and ability to think out of box.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and material properties.
• Ability to conduct thorough research.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive approach to learning new tools and technologies.
• ⁠Shall have good knowledge of codes and standards.
