About the Role:

This role is responsible for procuring all direct and indirect materials and services, as well as developing a strategic roadmap for the procurement function.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for all direct/indirect procurement of raw materials, commodities, finished products, components, CAPEX Items and services.

- Identification of suppliers both with India and overseas including the development of the alternate supplier base.

- Responsible for the entire procure to pay-cycle with validation of business requirements, commercial negations (RFQ / Auctions) and timely delivery of agreed quality/specs by the suppliers including contract manufacturers.

- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.

- Understand market dynamics with the Supplier Network in-terms consumer megatrends and new product development in the market.

- Track and report key functional metrics to optimize spends and improve effectiveness with validation and re-negotiation of existing terms/contracts.

- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.

- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.

- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.

- Identification and active management of the procurement of at-risk components of the supply chain on an ongoing basis.

- Work on localization projects to ensure cost-effective options for sourcing are identified and developed locally.

- Responsibility for implementation of QC/QA for the product.

- Build /fine-tune systems and processes for procurement function, especially for indirect spends under SAP Ariba Environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering/Science graduate.

- MSc or MBA degree in procurement / material management/supply chain management/business administration.

- Minimum 15 years of proven working experience in direct/indirect procurement and heading Procurement Function of 800-1000 Crores, since the last 5 years.

- Strong commercial/negotiation skills with knowledge of costing and tax implications.

- Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders with bias for accountability would key success metric for the position.

- Leveraging the use of technology for automation and digitization.
