Engineer - BIM Layout

We are looking for a Senior BIM Modeler (MEP) at our company, you will play a crucial role in creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for MEP systems. Work together to understand customer specifications and project requirements with engineers and project managers.
Attend project coordination meetings to discuss about problems pertaining to BIM and offer workable solutions. Your expertise in utilizing BIM software to develop detailed models will be paramount in ensuring accurate coordination and integration of MEP systems within complex construction projects.

Sound Knowledge of Plant layout & BIM Implementation
Having experience in 3D scanning of establishments and converting it to As Is 3D model.
Review, Develop and implement Lean Engineering process & Quality standards and improved engineering practices and to ensure implementation in project.
Hands on working knowledge in E3D/ Revit/ Navisworks/CAD tools.
Good hands on knowledge of CAD neutral data formats exchange across various CAD tools like NX , E3D, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.
Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality and projects are compliant with the contract, delivered on time, and the associated technical risks are identified, communicated, and managed.
EHS: - Implementation EHS policy & procedures during design aspect.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Review architectural and structural models to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and client specifications.
• Participate in project coordination meetings to discuss BIM-related issues and provide feasible solutions.
• Creation of parametric, templates & Libraries in Revit necessary for execution of projects.
• Familiar with neutral data formats for exchange 3D data across different CAD platforms.
• Create and develop detailed 3D models of MEP systems using Revit software.
• Produce accurate MEP clash detection reports and coordinate with the design team to resolve clashes.
• Producing Shop Drawings
• Review architectural and structural models to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and client specifications.
• Participate in project coordination meetings to discuss BIM-related issues and provide feasible solutions.
• Work closely with the team to implement BIM models for accurate installation and fabrication of MEP systems.
• Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to maintain high standards of accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in developing and maintaining BIM standards and protocols within the organization.
• Train and mentor junior BIM modelers on best practices and techniques for MEP modelling.
• Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and methods to enhance modelling and coordination practices.
• Training and advising junior staff

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, or related field. Proven experience min. 8+ years as a BIM Engineer having hands on experience of BIM Implementation in the projects.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software for MEP coordination and modelling.
• Strong customer interface experience.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and their integration within complex construction projects.
• Experience in using Navisworks for clash detection and coordination.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design intent.
• In-depth understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations related to MEP systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Capability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines.
• Certification in BIM-related software or professional associations (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.

Desired Characteristics

• Skills: Revit, MEP coordination, Auto cad, Navisworks, Shop drawings, HVAC, plumbing.

• Should be proactively initiate Layout interface and streamline.
• Should be able to anticipate & plan the project layout activities well in advance.
• should have good knowledge about EHS/safety rules which shall be considered during layout engineering.
• should have good knowledge of defining equipment Loads/foundation civil requirements, equipment handling requirement.
• Candidate having good knowledge of civil structural design (beam/column/slab/steel structure) which will be an added advantage.
