Senior Python Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Creating reusable Python libraries and frameworks to be used by developers' firm-wide
2. Working with DevOps tools to design and implement CI/CD pipelines for promotion of
Python code
3. Working with Application Security teams to define and mature the process of code security (in open-source libraries and internal code), static code analysis, malware scanning, etc.
4. Lay down the best practices for Python coding, linting, testing.
5. Improve the overall Python dev experience by working with other teams to provide the right set of tools, libraries, etc. for deployment/execution of code to VMs, Kubernetes and Azure for both scripting and service-based applications.
6. Design and document best practices for stability, monitoring and observability of Python code using tools like Splunk, ELK, Grafana, etc.
REQUIRED SKILL SETS
1. Experience with using popular Python libraries and framework and writing libraries for use by
other developers
2. Hands-on experience with Linux based systems, shell scripting, user and group management in
Linux
3. Experience with pypi and other python Package managers
4. Experience with Container environments on-prem and on cloud (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
GOOD TO HAVE
1. Familiarity with Devops engineering and tools like GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube.
2. Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, EKS, AppDynamics, etc.
