Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Category development:

  • Identify, assess, and select product/service partners based on market benchmarking analysis process on pricing, after sales service, quality, performance consistency and other relevant parameters like return or replacement, delivery TAT.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and ensure supplier performance.
  • Plan and implement regular product training for the sales team including business situation case studies or scenarios. Provide access to documentation about the products (user guides, brochures, websites, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders like sales, finance, and supply chain team to ensure alignment with business objectives

2. Business Development

  • Prospecting and helping with Network set-up of Micro Finance Institution (MFI) Branch, Credit Cooperative Societies, Identifying and exploring new channels, partnership opportunities to enhance market penetration and reach, aligning product loaning at partner MFI branches.
  • Appointing new Stockiest, inventory set up, managing a network of partners like stockists, distributors/ transporters, or local after-sales service resources and explore new channels resulting in deeper market penetration and reach.

3. Driving Operations of existing Microfinance Business

  • Assisting the Partnership Head and helping with anything from project planning, and implementation to the team management for Partnership Business
  • Responsible for P&L of the assigned regions, forecast monthly/quarterly product delivery, identify new business opportunities, new MFI partner acquisition and drive LMD business in the region.
  • Identify, train, motivate, and guide Area Channel Managers (ACMs), Territory Channel Managers (TCMs), and Enterprise Leaders (ELs) to align them with organizational goals and maximize their impact on the ground with consumers.
  • Monitor the performance of the team to ensure efficiency in business operations, meeting individual and group Monthly and Quarter targets.
  • Manage Team of Area Managers, Territory managers, and field officers and drive Last Mile Delivery (LMD) operations, coordinate with channel partners to meet business goals, educate them about product portfolio and services offered.

4. B2C Sales

  • Appointment of commission-based agents i.e. Dharma Life Women Entrepreneur (DLE)s in the villages and driving sales of products and services through them; ensuring activeness, community mobilization activities and long-term engagement from appointed DLEs.
  • Ensure adherence to Beat Plan compliance for the entire region.

Skills and Qualification required:

  • Knowledge & Experience of atleast 5 + years of working in B2B Product Sales.
  • Experience of engaging with different Microfinance partners and institutions
  • Bachelors Degree in business administration or similar. Masters Degree in business administration and marketing will be preferred.
  • Having strong geographical knowledge and understanding would be a plus
  • A dynamic collaborator and communicator, who can switch between “coaching” vs. “negotiating”: High performing multi-tasker, Resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-pace, and start-up environment and Lead by example approach in handling team; proven track record of having previously built and lead successful team.
  • Good experience in using MS Excel and creating reports.
  • Good verbal and written communication and analytical skills; ability to understand business model, potential challenges and inputs for improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and temperament suitable for relationship handling with different stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership and proactive problem resolution
  • Readiness to face challenges, prevailing in growing organization.
  • Ability to lead keeping the big picture in mind.

Travel Requirement

The candidate must be willing and ready to travel

Should be able to travel to meet Vendors, MFI Branches, Potential Customers, local administration, Dharma Life Entrepreneurs, key stakeholders and other Dharma Life team members, as per business necessity.
