Fire Officer

Role & responsibilities

1. Commissioning and testing of Fire Protection Systems (Hydrant Network, Water Spray System, Total Flooding system etc.)
2. Knowledge of TAC / BIS / NFPA codes
3. Maintenance of Fire Protection systems & facilities as per code of practice.
4. Develop & ensure Fire prevention procedures & system
5. Conduct day to day Fire Safety Inspection, patrol throughout the plant & draw action plan for improvement
6. Manage proper functioning of shifts
7. Develop & provide active support to all fire crew members
8. Assist in planning & conduct periodic mock fire drills as well On-site emergency mock drill involving site management.
9. Emergency Response & Handling
10. Fire Training to various levels in the organisation including contractors
11. Conducting Risk assessment / Job Safety Analysis / Incident Command
12. Plant inspection & Audit and execution of Safe Work Permit system

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/ B.Tech (Fire) from a reputed institute and having experience of at least 2 Years
• Candidate must have good communication & command, emergency response & handling skills and basic knowledge of computer & MIS reports.
