Website Designer/Developer

1. Website Design & Development:

• Design and develop the company website using WordPress, HTML, and CSS.
• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
• Ensure the website is responsive, mobile-first, and compatible across multiple browsers.
• Integrate interactive elements and features as needed.
• Implement Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies to improve website rankings.

2. CMS Management:

• Manage and update the website using WordPress CMS.
• Leverage knowledge of CMS platforms like Joomla or Drupal (preferred but not mandatory).
• Customize CMS themes and plugins to extend functionality.

3. Performance Optimization:

• Optimize website performance, focusing on reducing page load times.
• Implement caching strategies and perform regular website audits.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues.

4. Security & Maintenance:

• Regularly update WordPress core, themes, and plugins to ensure website security.
• Implement robust security measures to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
• Perform routine website backups, data recovery, and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct security audits to ensure compliance with best practices.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough testing to ensure cross-platform and cross-browser functionality.
• Troubleshoot and fix technical issues and bugs.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends and WordPress technologies.

6. Collaboration & Communication:

• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align website functionality with design aesthetics and marketing objectives.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a Website Designer & Developer with a strong portfolio.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
• Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and server-side technologies (preferred).
• Expertise in WordPress customization and CMS management (Joomla/Drupal knowledge is a plus).
• Strong understanding of responsive web design and mobile-first development principles.
• Expertise in SEO best practices and website optimization tools.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles and graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with debugging tools like Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Proficiency in version control tools like Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
