Job Title: Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - HR Operations (Payroll Management)
Location: Gurugram

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist with 5-7 years of expertise to manage end-to-end payroll operations for our
organization. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of PAN India payroll compliance, tax regulations, and statutory deductions.
This role will involve managing the payroll for field staff of approximately 2500-3000 employees, ensuring timely and accurate processing
of salaries, bonuses, and other financial benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
• Manage and execute the monthly payroll processing for 2500-3000 employees across PAN India, ensuring timely and
accurate disbursement of salaries, bonuses, and other allowances.
• Ensure payroll accuracy for field staff, including those with variable pay components such as performance-based
incentives, overtime etc.
• Oversee income tax calculations, including TDS, exemptions, and deductions for employees across multiple states.
Prepare and file necessary tax returns in line with statutory deadlines.
Compliance Management:
• Ensure compliance with all Indian labor laws, statutory regulations (e.g., EPF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, etc.), and tax laws,
including managing deductions, reporting, and timely submissions to authorities.
Data & Query Management:
• Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports as required for auditing, compliance, and internal requirements.
• Address employee queries related to payroll, tax, deductions, and compliance matters. Provide resolutions in a timely
manner.
Audit and Reporting:
• Prepare and share periodic payroll reports for management, finance, and internal audit teams. Conduct regular audits to
ensure accuracy and adherence to policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of PAN India payroll compliance, labor laws, and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, etc.).
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in managing payroll processes for large organizations, preferably with field staff and
across multiple states.
- Strong expertise in advanced MS Excel functions, data analysis and the ability to handle large volumes of data with
accuracy
- In-depth knowledge of income tax laws, TDS management, and statutory reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and provide solutions under tight deadlines.
- Strong sense of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive payroll data.
