Incharge - Rubber Mixing- Production Department

Role & responsibilities:

• Oversee the rubber mixing process to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency.
• Supervise a team of operators and workers in the mixing department, ensuring smooth and timely production.
• Ensure adherence to mixing formulas and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for rubber production.
• Monitor and maintain the performance of mixing equipment (e.g., internal mixers, mills, and extruders).
• Perform regular quality checks on the mixed rubber, ensuring it meets the required specifications and standards.
• Manage the inventory of raw materials and ensure the proper use of chemicals and other ingredients in the mixing process.
• Troubleshoot any issues related to equipment malfunctions or inconsistencies in the rubber mixture.
• Ensure health and safety compliance within the mixing department, following industry standards and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on production output, quality control, and raw material usage.
• Collaborate with the production and quality teams to improve processes and resolve any production delays.
• Train and mentor new team members on the proper mixing techniques and safety protocols.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Rubber Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience 5 to 10 years as a Rubber Mixing Incharge or in a similar role in a rubber or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of rubber formulations, including curing agents, accelerators, plasticizers, etc.
• Experience with mixing machinery and an understanding of various mixing technologies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with an ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Good understanding of quality control standards and safety protocols in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Preferred candidate profile :

• Certification or specialized training in Rubber Technology or related fields.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma.
• Experience in managing laboratory testing for rubber quality
