Job Position Summary -: Contract review & general legal advisory
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Review of maritime agreements such as Shipman, Crewman and Managers Undertakings
2. Review of procurement agreements
3. Review of miscellaneous contracts such as NDAs, service agreements, software licensing agreements and consultancy agreements
4. Finalize execution versions of the aforementioned contracts to ensure concerns of all internal stakeholders have been adequately addressed
5. Keeping abreast of changes in maritime laws in India and any rules and regulations promulgated by the Ministry of Shipping, India.
6. Render advice on any Indian legal issues including human resource
7. Ensure compliance with Indian privacy laws and also provide support on compliance by group companies with GDPR
8. Assisting on documentation in relation to recent environmental regulations such as EU ETS and Fuel EU
Job Experience, Functional Knowledge and Qualifications
1. Qualification - LLB from a reputed law school in India
2. Around 10 years of work experience with a corporate law firm or in-house. Minimum 2 years of experience with a law firm is essential
3. Previous experience in the maritime industry
4. General Corporate law experience with ability to draft and negotiate contracts, experience in data privacy laws preferred.

Accountability : Responsible for delivery own work without unnecessary supervision. Always demonstrates integrity and ethical behaviour being a role model for others. Invites constructive feedback adjusting actions accordingly. Thinks through mistakes made and finds ways to prevent reoccurrence.
