Job Description
A Cinematographer, also known as a Director of Photography (DP), is responsible for creating the visual style and look of a film or video production. They work closely with the director to bring the story to life through lighting, camera angles, and special effects.
Job Description
- Collaborate with the director to interpret and translate the vision for the production into a visual language.
- Conduct pre-production research and preparation, including scouting locations, selecting equipment, and planning shots.
- Operate the camera and lighting equipment to create the desired look and feel for each scene.
- Work with the director, production designer, and other members of the creative team to ensure the visual style is consistent throughout the production.
- Manage a team of camera operators, gaffers, and electricians to ensure the equipment is properly set up and used efficiently.
- Make creative and technical decisions regarding lighting, color correction, and special effects to enhance the visual storytelling.
