Scrum Master

Position Overview:

Responsible for effectively and efficiently managing SCRUM teams in an Agile development environment while executing all SCRUM ceremonies e.g., running daily scrums, backlog refinement, Sprint planning, Retro and Stakeholder forums. Help the team in the maturation of the Agile ways of working and support the management of time tracking as well as sprint health and velocity.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Drive agile ceremonies (SCRUM) and ensuring that the team is adopting/following agile practices religiously and supporting the maturation of agile way of working.
• Push SCRUM teams to provide regular updates on work packets to maintain real time visibility of work and sprint progress.
• Ensure maintenance and proper tracking of Aha features, activities, and statuses across universe of projects daily, including creating cards, updating statuses, creating notes where applicable, etc.
• Present useful metrics for plans and deliverables (tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories, predictability, sprint capacity, time tracking, etc.).
• Facilitate all SCRUM ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, iteration retrospective, backlog refinement, stakeholder forums and showcases.
• Facilitate effective release planning and release management.
• Liaising with technical staff and ensure full understanding of the user stories along with the business reasons.
• Liaising with the onsite team to discuss newer requirements and help create a product backlog.
• Working knowledge of Agile tools like Aha, JIRA, Azure DevOps etc.
• Creative problem-solving skills.

Required Skills

• Scrum Master experience/Agile Practices experience 3+ years.
• Overall IT experience of 4+ years.
• Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Certified Product Owner (CSPO) or other relevant certifications.
• Expertise of agile frameworks like SCRUM, Kanban, XP, etc.
• Creating and maintaining well defined user stories (point sizing, good acceptance criteria etc.).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile procedures to predict the development teams needs.
• Outstanding facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
• Open-minded with an ability to apply Agile best practices within process automation that make sense and support delivery practices
• Understand and represent both the business and technology.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Good sense of prioritization and time management.
• Ability to make effective independent decisions.
• Auditing Standard processes for SCRUM.
• Train and coach Delivery teams.
