Linux Administrator Lead

Job Role:
As an Linux Administrator Lead, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers and systems. Will manage the infrastructure, ensure system performance, and handle troubleshooting of various Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities:
● Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers in both physical and virtual environments.
● Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
● Implement and maintain system security by ensuring proper security measures and patches are applied regularly.
● Perform routine system audits, including monitoring of system logs, and resolve performance
issues.
● Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including system crashes, network errors, and
hardware failures.
● Automate routine tasks using shell scripting and other automation tools.
● Ensure data backups and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested.
● Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure smooth operations and system reliability
requirements and skills

Required Experience:
● Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
● Strong knowledge ( apache, Nginx and MySQL Database)
● Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, etc.)

Knowledge with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).

● Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).
● Experience in system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus,etc).
● Good understanding of system security (firewalls, intrusion detection, hardening, etc.).

Required Educational background:
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent
work experience).
● Relevant certifications (RHCE).
