Job Description
- Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems, components, and products for a wide range of applications, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Schematic Design: Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software (eg, AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical)
- Component Selection: Select appropriate electrical components, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and power distribution systems, based on project requirements and specifications
- Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes of electrical systems and components, identifying and resolving design issues and optimizing performance
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that electrical designs comply with safety standards and regulations (eg, NEC, IEC, UL) and address potential safety hazards
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of electrical designs, including BOMs (Bills of Materials), schematics, and technical specifications
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution
- Cost Optimization: Work to optimize the cost-effectiveness of electrical designs while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in electrical design engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design, such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, power distribution, and control systems
- Familiarity with electrical standards and codes (eg, NEC, IEC)
- Experience with electrical simulation and analysis tools is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools (eg, EPLAN, Altium) is a plus
