Electrical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Purpose of the Job:

The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for new product development projects, including the integration and programming of PLCs for automation purposes. This role involves participating in project planning, ensuring the design of error-free electrical systems on time, assisting with the procurement of electrical products/materials, and managing internal correspondence and documentation.

Educational Qualification / Experience Required:

• Educational Qualification:
• Graduate in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Certification in design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN etc.)
• Experience:
• 1 to 5 years of experience in drafting/designing electrical systems, parts, or components
• Proficiency in using design and drafting tools/software, particularly AutoCAD and EPLAN
• Experience in PLC programming is required (e.g., programming and troubleshooting of PLCs for automation systems)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical System Design:
   Develop electrical system designs for new product development projects, ensuring technical accuracy and innovation.

1. Design Support for Engineering Changes:
   Provide support for design activities related to engineering changes in existing products, including resolving design issues and addressing complaints/queries related to electrical components.
2. Procurement Support:
   Assist in the identification and procurement of electrical systems, ensuring they meet non-standard and business requirements.
3. Project Adherence:
   Ensure that the development process, cost targets, and quality standards are met while adhering to project timelines.
