Role Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, ensuring sound fiscal management, and overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This position requires a dynamic leader with expertise in retail real estate, a strong understanding of financial operations in high-growth environments, and a proven ability to manage investor relations, fundraising, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership:

- Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy to support short-term and long-term business objectives.

- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive overall business performance and growth.

- Evaluate financial performance by analyzing KPIs and recommending proactive measures to achieve targets.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling for the company's retail real estate operations.

- Ensure robust financial planning to manage capital allocation and operational expenses effectively.

- Provide actionable insights through financial data analysis to guide strategic decision-making.

Funding and Investor Relations:

- Develop and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.

- Lead fundraising efforts (debt and equity) to fuel expansion and growth plans.

- Prepare and present financial reports to the board, investors, and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.'

Accounting and Compliance:

- Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including GST, TDS, income tax, and other relevant laws.

- Manage audits, tax filings, and risk mitigation strategies.

Cash Flow and Treasury Management:

- Optimize cash flow management to ensure liquidity for operational and growth needs.

- Monitor working capital requirements and oversee treasury functions.

Real Estate and Retail Expertise:

- Oversee financial analysis of real estate acquisitions, leasing models, and ROI calculations.

- Work closely with the operations and leasing teams to create financially viable models for occupancy and expansion.

- Monitor and control costs associated with retail space development and operations.

Team Leadership:

- Build and lead a high-performing finance team capable of scaling with the company's growth.

- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and collaboration within the finance function.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or equivalent degree from a reputed institution.

Experience:

- Minimum 15 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or senior finance role in retail, real estate, or a similar industry.

- Strong track record in fundraising, managing investor relations, and working with private equity/venture capital stakeholders.

- Experience in managing financial operations of large-scale retail or commercial real estate portfolios.

Skills and Competencies:

- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.

- Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory frameworks, and real estate tax structures in India.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Hands-on experience in ERP systems and financial software.
