Senior DevOps Engineer

Technical Skills:
Docker:
Proficient in creating Docker containers, managing images, and orchestrating containerized applications.

Experience with Docker Compose for defining and running multi-container Docker applications.

Knowledge of best practices for Docker security and optimization.

Kubernetes:

Strong expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and cluster management.

Deployment, scaling, and maintenance of applications on Kubernetes.

Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, storage, and monitoring.

CI/CD:

Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Github and GitLab CI.

Automation of testing, building, and deployment processes.

GitLab:

Configuration and management of GitLab repositories.

Setting up and maintaining GitLab Runners for CI/CD.

Integration of GitLab with other tools and services.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

Proficient in tools like Terraform, Cloud formation or Ansible for automating infrastructure provisioning.

Infrastructure versioning and maintaining consistent environments.

Scripting and Programming:

Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Bat, Python, Ruby) for automation.

Understanding of infrastructure-related programming (e.g., Go for Kubernetes).

Monitoring and Logging:

Implementing monitoring solutions (e.g., NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana) for infrastructure and applications.

Experience with centralized logging (e.g., ELK stack).

Security:

Implementing and maintaining security best practices for infrastructure and applications.

Knowledge of container security and vulnerability management.

AWS Cloud:

Deployment and management of containerized applications on AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service) or EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).

Integration with AWS RDS or DynamoDB for managed database services.

Experience with AWS Route 53 for domain registration and DNS services.

Implementing AWS CloudWatch alerts and alarms for monitoring and logging.

Developing and deploying serverless applications using AWS Lambda.

Integration with other AWS services in a serverless architecture.

Familiarity with AWS CodePipeline for continuous delivery.

Automation using AWS CodeBuild and CodeDeploy.

Optimizing AWS costs through resource monitoring and utilization analysis.

Implementing cost-effective solutions and recommendations.

Experience in designing scalable and resilient architectures on AWS.

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Experience in migrating on-premises applications to AWS cloud.
