We are looking for an experienced Automotive Cybersecurity Engineer with expertise in automotive electronics product development and cybersecurity implementation.
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of relevant experience in automotive electronics, with 1+ years specifically in cybersecurity implementation and testing.
This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, cybersecurity standards, and cryptographic technologies to ensure the security and robustness of our automotive products.
Responsibilities :
- Design and implement cybersecurity solutions for automotive products, ensuring compliance with
relevant standards and guidelines.
- Develop and manage security components such as SecOC, CSM, and secure libraries for embedded systems.
- Implement cryptographic technologies including symmetric/asymmetric encryption, RSA-X509 TLS/DTLS, and PKI-based key management and certificate handling.
- Conduct vulnerability analysis and penetration testing of automotive and embedded systems, identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
- Perform firmware reverse engineering and security hardening for devices to enhance cybersecurity robustness.
- Develop secure boot solutions, device identity and integrity controls, and lifecycle management processes such as secure provisioning and OTA/FOTA updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cybersecurity measures into system architectures and ensure hardware and software debugging.
- Understand and address system-level cyberattacks, including command injection, data corruption, sensor manipulation, and network overloads.
- Implement data security measures such as whitelisting, runtime system integrity checks, anomaly detection, and message signing.
- Support functional safety activities (ISO 26262) and ensure alignment with security protocols.
- Utilize Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools to ensure software quality and implement model-based system engineering approaches as needed.
Requirements :
- BE/B. Tech in Electrical/Electronics/ECE/EEE/CS/Mechatronics from a reputed institution (full-time).
- ME/M Tech/MS in a relevant field is preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in automotive electronics product development.
- 1+ years of experience in cybersecurity implementation and testing.
- Cryptography and PKI technology (hashing, encryption, SSL, TLS/DTLS, key management).
- Experience in system and device security, including secure boot and code signing.
- Familiarity with diagnostic protocols (UDS, OBD, KWP) and automotive electrical architecture.
- Knowledge of vulnerability analysis and penetration testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, and secure libraries (e. g., bootloaders).
- Strong debugging skills for software and hardware.
- Knowledge of CERT C guidelines and functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR security components.
- Understanding model-based system engineering is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools for ensuring software quality.
- Familiarity with device-level security concepts (HSM, SHE, TPM, TEE).
