Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement robust architectures and software solutions for managing and utilizing structured and unstructured data from various internal and external sources.

- Build technical tools to automate data cleansing, organization, and transformation, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.

- Ensure data connections, flows, and storage solutions meet operational needs by following established design and quality standards.

- Evaluate business and technical requirements to propose updates or improvements to data systems and storage capabilities.

- Collaborate in technical requirement discussions to ensure data architecture aligns with system-wide quality standards.

- Write and review production-quality code, ensuring security and reliability in every deployment.

- Monitor live operations of the platform, tracking KPIs to proactively identify areas for optimization or potential risks.

- Design and implement new features based on evolving customer needs and business objectives.

- Build and maintain multi-tenant systems with a focus on security, performance, and resource isolation.

- Address complex challenges related to security, distributed systems, resource management, and large-scale data infrastructure.

- Stay informed about new technologies and incorporate them to continuously improve the platform's capabilities and performance.

Requirements :

- Expertise in data architecture and business intelligence systems, including ETL processes, data transformation, modeling, and reporting.

- 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or software engineering roles.

- Strong programming skills, with a focus on Python.

- Solid understanding of relational databases, data scalability, and advanced SQL for querying and data extraction.

- Deep knowledge of data concepts, such as ETL processes, data structures, metadata, and workflow automation.

- Experience with AWS Glue (preferred) and Quickbase (nice to have).

- Proficiency in designing data pipelines and using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.

- Familiarity with distributed data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.

- Knowledge of version control tools like Git.

- Experience with containerization platforms like Docker or Kubernetes.

- Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in tackling complex data and system challenges.

- Clear communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

- Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

- Experience in fast-paced settings, handling enterprise software releases and SaaS products.

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

- Familiarity with bug-tracking systems such as JIRA.

Preferred :

- Experience working in AWS cloud environments.

- Familiarity with Quickbase (nice to have).

- Experience in the biotech/pharma industry, with particular knowledge of patient support programs.

- Understanding of healthcare-related regulatory standards such as HIPAA, SOC, or HITRUST
