- We are seeking a highly skilled Manager-Human Capital to lead strategic HR initiatives at one of our largest Tube Manufacturing Unit with an inbuilt full capacity warehouse. This key leadership role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the people operations of a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- The ideal candidate will be a strong, results-driven leader, with extensive experience in Talent Management, Industrial/Employee Relations, and managing unionized workforce environments. You will possess a deep understanding of wage settlements, labor laws, and government regulations related to factory compliance, pollution control, and health and safety.
- As Head of HR for the unit, you will oversee a large, diverse workforce while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, driving employee well-being initiatives, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Key responsibilities include managing both permanent and contractual staff, enhancing workforce diversity, and ensuring the smooth running of operations in a compliant and harmonious environment. You will also be responsible for driving the strategic alignment of HR initiatives with the manufacturing unit's goals, promoting employee engagement, and supporting operational decision-making.
- In this role, effective stakeholder management within a matrix organization is critical to simplifying processes, driving growth, and maintaining a productive, legally compliant, and collaborative workplace. Additionally, you will oversee key operational issues such as transporters and scrap management to ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
Desired Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills and experience with labor unions and external vendors (transporters).
- In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws, industrial relations, and government regulations.
- Proven experience in managing large, diverse teams and driving organizational change.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale HR budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
