ERGO Technology & Services India (ET&S India) is the newest part of the ERGO Technology & Services Management the main outsourcing provider of IT for ERGO worldwide. It is backed up by ERGO a 18 Billion Euro Organization with presence in 15+ countries has a charter to provide technology services to the ERGO countries in multiple countries.

ETS India will be fueling the Digital aspirations of ERGO world in years to come. With ambitious plan to build a large offshore development centers in multiple cities of the country ETS India shall be at the forefront in developing capabilities and providing career opportunities to employees in diverse technologies across domains of Insurance.

Role Description:

ERGO operates numerous (currently about 70, including development and test systems) nationally and internationally used high-availability SAP installations for various business purposes. These are set up, expanded, updated, licensed and operated in cooperation with the Infrastructure department. In addition, there is the Business Technology Platform, which is currently being set up.

The SAP Basis Administrator is part of the SAP-certified Customer Center of Expertise and, together with the team, is responsible for the technological basis of all SAP installations operated by ERGO. This task is performed jointly with the infrastructure department, which carries out the operating system and hardware-related activities.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Planning and setting up new SAP installations
• Planning and updating existing SAP installations (e.g. stack upgrade, release upgrade)
• Setup and administration of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
• Setup of SAP systems after installation by I&O (transport system, authorisation system, monitoring, client control, RFC set-up, user set-up, ...)
• Creation of installation concepts for SAP frontend software
• Consulting for projects, architecture etc.
• Collaboration in SAP projects regarding the SAP basis and the SAP architecture
• Performing system and client copies
• Administration of SAP Basis authorisations
• Creation and updating of basic concepts and documentation (authorisation management, operational management, change management, ...)
• Creation and updating of documentation in accordance with the regulatory requirements for an insurance company (especially VAIT)
• Accompanying and supporting auditors during regular and unscheduled audits (e.g. during the annual financial statement)
• Project support for technical SAP issues
• User support for questions regarding SAP technology
• Operational SAP licence management

Key Competencies & Skills required

Technical:

• Domain knowledge of SAP
• SAP base administration
• SAP on HANA
• SAP R/3 and S/4
• SAP BTP

Nice to have:

• SAP S/4 HANA Migration Cockpit knowledge
• SAP ABAP/4 Development
• SAP on MS SQL Server
