IT Project Manager - MLK

Role Description:

• Project Manager for one team as part of a large German insurance industry program, "Migration life classic

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Independent planning and implementation of IT projects (or sub-project management within large projects)
• Technical leadership of the sub-project managers and project staff
• Controlling of the project and time management within the project scope, as well as ensuring quality
• Generation of reports and e-submissions for the project committees and presentation of project results
• Achieving decisions within the project scope
• Applying and improving project management methods
• Peer-to-peer reviews within the division and ITERGO
• Developing a knowledge base of standard activities/expenses
• Supporting project managers in smaller projects
• Providing support with cost estimates and preparing offers

Key Competencies & Skills required

Technical Skills:

• Domain knowledge of Project Management Standards and Agile delivery standards and leading project teams

Nice to have:

• Updated on latest insurance market trends and the relevant business processes.
• Assess the impact of market development on requirements engineering.
• Practical use of AI technologies and automatization

Behavioral Skills:

• Willingness to learn and quickly adapt to changing requirements.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and presenting solutions and options o Identifies improvement potentials in the area of requirements engineering and promotes ideas for change.
• Ability to understand broader business issues

Previous Experience & Qualifications

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science /Engineering/Information Technology
• Candidate with non-computer science degree must have minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• MBA in IT / Insurance/Finance can also apply for Requirements Engineer and Test Engineer role.

Years Experience & Knowledge:

• 3-5 years experience in IT Project Management or Agile delivery
• Good planning and analyzing skills o Good understanding of processes and structures
• Urge to understand what the systems are meant for and how critical the correctness of the numbers are.
• Understanding the structure of IT project delivery, leading teams to deliver within scope, time and assigned budget
